Sherrie Ann Armijo Howard received her Angel wings and found her place at the seat of God on October 23, 2019, one week after her 59th birthday. Her transition was a beautiful and peaceful one. Her husband fulfilled her wishes and we brought her home from the hospital where she could pass with dignity and grace. She was surrounded by so much love that even though our sorrow is heavy in our hearts, it was a beautiful transition to Heaven.
She was born October 16, 1960 to her proud parents Leroy Joseph and Norma Ruth Armijo. She married the love of her life Steven Robert Howard Sr. on March 17, 1979. She was a loving mother and loved being a grandmother more than life itself. Family was the single most important thing to Sherrie. She loved to play with her grandkids, cook food for her brothers and sisters, she loved bunco and crafting with her friends and she was always ready to dance or head out to Wendover with her dad. She was the life of the party. We will never know why she was called to Heaven in the middle of a dance. We miss her deeply already and can only guess how big the hole in our family truly is from her departure.
Sherrie is preceded in death by her mother Norma Ruth Armijo. She is survived by her loving father Leroy Joseph Armijo as well as her faithful husband of 40 years Steve Howard, Her 3 children: Crysti Ann (Eric), Stephanie Milana, and Steven Robert Jr (Aimee), 6 grandchildren: Kaden Ross, Grace Milana, Ryder Leroy, Karsen Robert, Rose Karma, Rainbow Dallin and her dog Natasha Grey Majesty.
She is also survived by brothers and sisters, who never left her side. Her brother’s and sister's tender loving care during her final days is the reason her passing was so beautiful and dignified. She is blessed to have her siblings: John, Dorothy (Joe), Nancy (Tony), Tom, and Kathy (Bo), she loved her brother and sister-in-laws as well as many nieces nephews AND great nieces and nephews who she was very close to and held very near and dear to her heart.
Funeral services will be held Saturday November 2, 2019 at Valley View Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest next to her beautiful mother who came to greet her soul in her final days.
