I was born October 12, 1963 to Laureen (Lyons) Faust and Donald R King. My journey was complete November 29, 2015. I was diagnosed with lung cancer in January 2012. I fought as hard as I could knowing this would not define me nor defeat me, until it became obvious I couldn't survive. I've had a rich full life. I started riding dirt bikes at a young age. I loved camping, fishing and boating with my family, but my joy was Dirt Bikes, Chevrolet, Bud (weiser), and watching NASCAR, Go Jeff Gordon!
My career was in Auto Parts, I worked many years for Frank Edwards. You supported me 100 % which allowed me to continue working through cancer treatments. Thank you. I went on Hospice (CNS) August 10th 2015, but remained working until October 26th. Hospice (Craig) came to my work to see and treat me during this time.
Thanks Mom and Dad for your unwavering devotion, you were with me every step of the way. To my family who supported me to the end I am deeply humbled. I love each and every one of you and I thank each and every one of you. This includes my co-workers and friends. I couldn't have done it without you. You were the support I needed to keep going even when it became so painful. I tried not to complain but I sure wouldn't recommend it as a weight loss program... If I hurt anyone, I'm sorry. I only knew to live from my heart.
To my sis Becky, my niece Dayna who lovingly cared for me in everyway possible, you made it all worth it, you made it fun, even wearing the dreadlock hat. During my last month we laughed so much. We stayed up late watching movies, or to be honest, we slept through them. We practiced using our different accents that made us laugh even harder thanks to my Dayna. To my niece Christa who gave of her love, care and devotion are now the new owners of my home and my beloved Dexter. I'll miss you buddy.
I married Jeanne Slattery January 2nd 1998 but was later divorced, I had a stepson Devon, and two step grandkids.
I was preceded in death by my grandparents, my Dad, brother-in-law Mike Sheehan, and cousin Julie.
Thank you CNS (Hospice) especially Craig, Lisa, Marina, Laura and Alice who made the last days and weeks of my life bearable, comfortable, respectful with grace and dignity. You and 'James' are my Hero's. There isn't enough green to pay you for all you provide if you but reach out. I will miss each and everyone of you. Thanks to each of you for the memories I take with me. It's time to go now, I'll be riding that faster dirt bike with my Dad through the heavens, I'm outta here.
Love Stephen King, who is now writing my new book...'I Did It My Way'.
