Sue was born in August 22, 1952 to Norm and Molly Carsey. She loved to reminisce about her childhood in Kearns, growing up with her two brothers Stan and Neal. She always looked back on her childhood with fondness and smiles and would never tire of telling the stories of the street she grew up on, her friends and neighbors, their trips to Disneyland, and fun with all her cousins.
In March 1973 she married Bruce Arveseth and they raised their family in West Valley. They had 3 boys, Brent Larsen(deceased) Brent Carsey, and Ryan Christian. Sue’s greatest joy in life was being a mom. She took great pride in her house, her yard, and her boys. She had several jobs thru her life, and worked at Harmons Grocery store for 20 years in their bakery and then the floral shop. She truly loved chatting with people and helping where she could. There was nothing she wouldn’t do for her boys and grandkids and helped them with whatever they needed, no questions asked Because, as she would say, “That’s what families are for!” While she was able, she never missed a dance recital, competition , a ball game, or an award ceremony for her grandkids.
Mom will be deeply missed, and her absence will be felt at way too many events throughout our lives, as she was taken too soon, but we are thankful for the memories we do have. She instilled many traditions in us that we will continue.
Sue is preceded in death by her husband Bruce , her son Brent Larsen, her parents Norm and Molly, her sister in law Toni, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She is survived by her sons Brent (Hollie), and Ryan Arveseth, her two grandkids Alaura and Luke, her brothers Stan and Neal (Heidi) and her nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.
A graveside service for Sue will be held Tuesday, May 13, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Valley View Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 4335 West 4100 South, West Valley City, UT 84120.
