Susan Whitehead

Susan Johnson Whitehead, 65, passed away on July 19, 2025 in Magna, UT. Susan was born on September 1, 1959 in Salt Lake City, UT to Geraldine Johnson (Bennett) & Lyle Johnson. She attended and graduated from Granger High School. She married Terry Whitehead on January 19, 1979.

Susan was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was very devoted and cared for her husband, kids, and grandchildren. The thing she enjoyed most was driving the family on adventures throughout the state and country. She was passionate about her crafts; whether that was her painting, diamond art, scrapbooking, sewing extravagant costumes for Halloween, or her “crazy dinners.” She loved Dolly Parton and made many visits to her theme park. She took tremendous pride in her children’s achievements, she also enjoyed “saving” plants from stores and kept great care of her gardens and yard.

Susan is survived by her husband, Terry, Children; Kimberly (Scott) Wilmsen, Damien (Jenny) Whitehead, Aaron (Melissa) Whitehead, Natalie (Eric) Manning, Heidi (Felix) Montoya, Ashley (Brett) Daniels, Cameron (Maria) Whitehead, and Justin Whitehead, her siblings; Carol Jeffers, Sheral Hansen, and Janet Mitchell, and sixteen grandchildren.

She was preceded by her parents Geraldine (Bennett) & Lyle Johnson, her sister Grace (Johnson) Wickham, and her brother Ralph Johnson.

Services will be held on Saturday July 26, 2025 at 1:30 pm at the Lake Ridge 4th Ward, 8059 W. 2700 S. Magna, UT. A viewing will be held from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm prior to the services. There will be a celebration of life luncheon at the church following the interment at Valley View Memorial Park, 4400 W. 4100 S. WVC, UT.
