Troy Dean Labrum

Troy Dean Labrum devoted father, son and brother returned to his Heavenly Father on Aug. 27, 2016. Troy was born July 6, 1974 in Ogden, Utah. He was the first of 7 children born to Connie J. and Doyle K. Labrum.

Troy was a happy, loving, sweet, giving, trusting, kind and curious little boy. He was a joy and brought unimaginable love into his parents’ lives. In what seemed to be a ‘blink of an eye’ that cute little boy grew into adulthood. As a man Troy was to be admired. He was smart, ingenious, hardworking, strong, loyal, generous and loved to tell jokes that should never ever be told. Troy had a brilliant mind. He could teach himself how to do absolutely anything. He loved to work with his hands and would use his self-acquired skills to help anyone in need.

Troy was married to Aisha Hays on June 13, 1999. They were later divorced. However, it was through this union that Troy was blessed with his one and only ‘true love’ his precious daughter Krysta. Troy and Krysta shared an incredibly strong bond. They were two of a kind. They loved each other, protected each other and teased each other relentlessly. Troy will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, but none more than his sweet Krysta.

Troy was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lawrence and Willa Olsen. He is survived by his daughter Krysta; parents Doyle and Connie; brothers and sisters Tawnya; Trent (Rachel); Tammy (Tyson); Terry (Melanie); Tracie (Ira); Travis (Robert) and grandparents Jesse and Pearl Labrum.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday Sept. 7, 11:00 a.m. at Magna East Stake Center / 2875 S. 8000 W. Magna, Utah. Friends and family may visit Tuesday Sept. 6, 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Valley View Funeral Home / 4335 W. 4100 S. West Valley City, Utah and prior to the funeral services from 10:00 – 10:45 a.m.

Interment will be at the Valley View Memorial Park / 4335 W. 4100 S. West Valley City.
