

Vicki Jean Peterson, born on August 16, 1945, in Salina, Utah, to Ellis and Cordelia Sanders, was the youngest of five children. She carried her joyful spirit and warmth throughout her life, touching the hearts of all who knew her.
At the age of 18, Vicki married Lawrence Peterson and moved to Salt Lake City, embarking on a new chapter in her life. Though their paths later diverged, Vicki found strength in her independence and unconditional love for her family and friends.
She spent her final years back in Salina, reconnecting with cherished childhood friends she’d known since kindergarten. It was a homecoming filled with laughter, memories, and the unmistakable comfort of familiarity.
Vicki's smile was one of her most remarkable traits. It would light up the room with just a mention of her beloved children, grandchildren, or great-grandchildren. She found immense pride in her family and treasured the moments when everyone gathered together. Her love was boundless, extending beyond biological ties to embrace countless "bonus kids" who were adopted into her heart. If Vicki loved you, it was forever.
She leaves behind a legacy of kindness and unwavering love. Survived by her children Matt Peterson (Laura), Tara Peterson, and Nicole Malloy (Jeremy); seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and her loyal companion, Hiccup the dog. Vicki was preceded in death by her son Brett Peterson and grandsons Michael and Ryan Peterson.
Vicki Jean Peterson will be profoundly missed by all whose lives she touched. Her amazing spirit, unconditional love, and joy for life will forever be celebrated and remembered.
