Wayne Ross Brace

1955 ~ 2013

Wayne Ross Brace, our loving and wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, son and friend left us suddenly on Tuesday, November 5, 2013.

Wayne was born February 23, 1955 in Salt Lake City, Utah, the 2nd oldest son of John R. and Donna Brace. He was raised in Magna, Utah and sometimes attended Cyprus High School. He retired from Kennecott Copper Mine. He loved traveling, and the outdoors, fishing and hunting, and many hobbies. He enjoyed the many years of his “Hockey” seasons. Wayne married the love of his life, Shirlene Wiley, and they were married for 37 years. They raised 2 beautiful daughters that he was very proud of. His strong will, will live on through his daughters and his grandbabies. We Love You and Miss You!

Wayne is survived by his loving wife, Shirlene Brace; daughters, Shirlynn (Cody) Walk and Monica (Robert) Ridge; parents, Donna Brace, LeGrande and Shirley Wiley; siblings, Carl (LouAnne), Norman (Cindy) and Kristy (Steve) Cox; in-laws, Randy (Misty) Wiley and Danny Wiley; 5 grandchildren, Tanner, Braiden, Jayda, Rylan and Mason. He is preceded in death by his father, John Reed Brace; Jimmy Dee Brace, and his little sidekick, “Popeye”.

Graveside Services for Wayne will be held Saturday, November 9, 2013 at 12:00 noon at Valley View Memorial Park, 4400 W. 4100 So. The family will receive friends at a visitation Friday evening from 6 until 9 p.m. at Valley View Funeral Home, 4335 W. 4100 So.; and one hour prior to the service on Saturday at Valley View Funeral Home.
