Wayne Alvin Davis

Wayne A. Davis, 93, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by loved ones on May 7, 2023. Wayne was born on November 1, 1929 to Wilford and Hazel Davis in Salt Lake City, Ut. He had 6 siblings and grew up to join the US NAVY as a young sailor during WWII. After serving our country at war, Wayne came home to meet the love of his life. Wayne married Faye in April of 1952, and they were sealed for eternity in the Salt Lake Temple in 1984.

Wayne and Faye raised 3 children together. Kenny, Susan and Jimmy; Wayne worked hard and was always dedicated to providing for his family which he held in high regards and loved deeply.

Wayne was a dedicated and faithful man to his family and church. After he retired he took on a position working at the Jordan River Temple. He loved serving his church community and building friendships with others while in this calling and service work. Wayne enjoyed motorcycles, gardening, riding his bicycle and visiting with his friends and family.

Wayne is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Faye, his son’s Kenny and Jimmy and grandson Nathan. He is survived by his daughter Susan and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Wayne lived a full and happy life in his home in West Valley City and spent his final years happily in Arizona with his daughter and late son.

A viewing will be held for Wayne on Friday May 19, 2023 at 12:00pm at the LDS Church on 3305 S Scottsdale Dr. West Valley City, UT 84120. Services will follow immediately in the chapel. Interment will be at Valley View Memorial Park 4400 W 4100 S West Valley, UT 84120.

A luncheon will be held after the interment at the church where services were held.
