William West Barney, MD

William West Barney MD, just shy of 85, passed away September 10, 2014

in West Valley City, Utah. He was born September 30, 1929 in Salt Lake City, Utah

to John Forrest Barney and Mary Eliza West. He graduated from Granite High, University of Utah, and the University of Utah Medical School. He Married Eulaween Phillips on September 4, 1949 in North Augusta, South Carolina.

He was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He loved building memories with his family and working on his medical practice in Kearns for many years. He was Chief of Staff at Valley West Hospital now Pioneer Valley. He was committed to taking care of his beautiful wife Eulaween. He loved the lord and his life was dedicated to service, and he served in many callings in the church.

Survived by his wife; Eulaween Phillips Barney, children; Charles (Patty), Diane Barney Dennis, Linda Barney Tanner, Robert (Barbara), Marilyn Barney Odeh, Wesley (Penny), and son in law Steve Diver, siblings; Betty Evanson, Mary Anne Shuler of Naselle, WA, and 24 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister; Helen Keddington, daughter; Joan Lee Barney Diver.

Services will be held Saturday September 13, 2014 at 12:00 p.m. at Jordan North 2nd Ward, 4250 South Falcon Street (4145 West) West Valley City. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Jordan North 2nd ward. Condolences may be sent to the family @www.valleyviewfuneral.com.
