Deepest sympathy from the Virginia Military Institute Class of '58. Our yearbook from then described Tony well: 'Tony found the Shenandoah Valley quite different from the sandy plains of west Texas during his Rat year and often wondered why he was so far from home. But it did not take long for him to adjust himself. During his four years at VMI, Tony has many times proved to all that the long trip from home was well worth it. We are all reminded by his ever present smile and constant achievements that he has been as successful as any while at school. Tony will not find it difficult to get ahead after school as long as he continues to display the same personality we have all become so accustomed to.'

Tony and I were classmates at VMI for four years.  He was a thoroughly competent person, good leader, and loyal friend.  Did not see him much but particularly enjoyed a visit at our 50th Reunion in 2008,  Deepest sympathy.

"Uncle Tony was the best uncle ever.  Even though he lived in California, and I lived in Ohio, he always took the time to visit at least once a year.  Once I had the twins, it was nothing for him to come and visit twice a year.  He thought a lot of my girls and kept their picture in his wallet. He would play and read a lot to them on his visits.  We will all miss his visits, and his gentleness and kindness will never be forgotten."

 Our brother-in-law, Tony, was a kind and gentle man. He was a great husband to Ann and a good father to his children. We have known Tony since we were teenagers. We will miss his visits to Ohio.
