Danny Rea I miss you. I will see you soon I am sure!

Daniel Bennett Rea, was my first cousin. We grew up together in Boise, ID. He moved around a lot as a kid like me but we always met up again when my mother Maurene Steele Congrove and sister his mother Norma L Steele Rea got back together. Two times we were next door neighbors in Boise, ID and other times we lived a few miles apart. We went together to Salina, Utah in 1963 to bury grandfather Glen B Steele. We chopped wood at uncle Frank Steele's house. Silly are these memories. We moved to Anaheim, CA and we went to Disneyland together. I remember we got kicked out. We were a pair. I did see him again until 1970 in Vancouver, WA. He came his wife and mom and dad. I did not hear from again until about 2000 he was researching his family like me on the internet. He was looking for a picture of grandfather Glen B Steele. I did not have one. This was the last we talked. I was shocked to find his brother James W. Rea Jr. died as well as his 1/2 brother I assume they mean Ronald "Ronnie" Wilkerson has died as well! I will create a memorial at the cemetery mentioned, on find a grave .com. I will connect him to his parents and family James W Rea and Norma L Steele Rea. Again I was sad to see this and wish I had known. So close I could have been there. He will be in my prayers.

Time has passed so fast but the time we shared allowed us to remain good friends. Will miss you Dan. Your in our hearts.

Dan was a past step-dad of mine.  A fun, kind and loving man.  He loved the outdoors and wood working.  Took us camping, riding the 4 wheeler, playing in the snow and shooting.  He will be greatly missed.  Rest in peace Dan.  Prayers to his son, Chris and the rest of Dan's family.

I knew Dan for 31 years; his was such a good and caring person. I have had the pleasure of working @ US Divers/Survivair with him and playing with him camping and at the Blarney Stone. He will be missed by family and friends. RIP Dan

I knew Dan as a high school classmate of my brother.  We spent many hours together going to the drag strip at OCIR, riding dirt bikes, & just hanging out.  Many fond memories together, too numerous to recite.  RIP Dan

Dan Rea was born on September 23, 1950 in Boise, Idaho, but lived most of his life in Orange County, California.  He was a talented artist, fine woodworker, and had a great sense of humor.  He enjoyed having tropical and saltwater fish.  He was a SCUBA diver and loved riding dirt bikes as a young man and enjoyed kayaking in his later years.  He served in the U.S. Army 1970-1972.  Though the company he worked for changed hands several times; it was originally U.S. Divers, he was a faithful employee who worked there for 45 years.

Dan was preceded in death by his parents, James and Norma Rea and his brothers Jimmy Rea and Ronny Wilkerson.  He is survived by his brother Tom Wilkerson and niece Terri Wilkerson Gates, and by his son Christopher Rea and grandchildren Andrew and Christina Rea.
