I had the pleasure of working with Debbie all the way back to the Global Van Lines days.  I remember on several occasions sitting in her office in dispatch talking and laughing.  She could always make you laugh like no other. You will be missed.  Rest in peace.

I worked with Debbie at both Global Van Lines and Merit Moving Systems beginning in the late 1970's!  While Debbie and I may have been co-workers, we were also very good friends.  We shared stories about our friends and families, two subjects that were very close to her.  Debbie's laugh was one that I can still hear, and will be with me forever.  I miss Debbie, but I know she is in a better place, probably laughing at all of us!  I am so thankful for knowing and working with Debbie for almost the last 35 plus years...

Debbie Breland what a gal!! i've had the pleasure and honor to know Debbie for several years. Since the old Global days. She was always bright and full of life. I will never forget the way she greeted and treated me each time we met. If their were more like her, the world would be a better place. Later Deb, I'll see you on the other side. I love you more than anything mom and miss you every second! You were the best mother and friend in the world and I am so thankful for all the love you gave me and all the things you have taught me! Give daddy a hug and kiss for me! Love you more!

We at Merit have missed Debbie's presence for eighteen months and now her great fight has come to an end. Her infectious laugh, smile and good nature as well as performance leave us all devoid of her character.
She mothered our Van Operators with continuous empathy, coaching and leadership which produced consistent top honors for our company when measured against the other 525 United Van Lines agents. Her guidance was stellar and I had the pleasure of working with Debbie for nearly 30 years ….. she earned my pet name for her “The Italian Princess”. Depending on the situation; I would get a …. You sorry ________? Most of the time with a great laugh or smile!
She attended our Christmas Party on December 16th which was as much of a treat for all of us as it was for her. Great memories of a wonderful lady!

Debbie, I'll miss you calling and starting our conversations with "Hey Cookie!" The Angels in heaven above are enjoying your laugh as much as I did over the years. You shall be missed my dear.
