Dorothy was born on August 22nd, 1922 in London Ontario, Canada. She was the daughter of Leah Jane (Buglar) and Norval Alexander Peavoy. She was born and raised in London, Ontario, Canada. Dorothy passed away peacefully with Gladys by her side in her home.
Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Carol Anne (Waite) Yoast and her son George Edward Waite. She has eight grandchildren (in order by age): Ronald Yoast, Cheri (Yoast) Shelton, Scott Yoast, Karen Pivovaroff, Erika Krupansky, Brian Yoast, Gladys Waite and Bryon Waite. Additionally, she has sixteen great grandchildren (in order by parent listed above): Hayden, Skyler, Logan, Ava, Julia, Ashlynn, Avery, Reese, Presley, Carla, Verna, Jonathan (JJ), Corey, Julian, Collette and Ameillia.
Dorothy will be remembered for her donations of her crocheted socks she gave to the senior center. Her love of baseball and Jeopardy. She will be greatly missed by the local Red Hatter’s community and her family and friends. Dorothy was a very warm-hearted and caring woman who always put others before herself.
A Visitation will be held at Westminster Memorial Park 14801 Beach Blvd, Westminster, CA 92683 on May 20th from 9:30 am to 11:30 am. The funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm at the same location.
Dorothy will be laid to rest at Westminster Memorial Park next to her late husband, Ronald Edward Waite.
In lieu of flowers, the family requested donation to H.O.P.E. Women’s Center in Garden Grove.
