

Gilbert Garibay of Temecula, California was a beloved son, husband, father, brother, friend who passed away at the age of 50 on September 7, 2023 battling cancer. On his final day he was surrounded by his loving wife, sons, and close family.
Gilbert was born on July 26, 1973, in Bellflower, California to Irene Muñoz and Alejandro Garibay. He grew up in Santa Ana and received his associate degree in computer aided drafting before serving in the US Army as a Combat Engineer. He married the love of his life, Erica Molina on June 14, 1997 and had three sons. He worked as a Project Manager at Regan Paving for 21 years.
Gilbert was very family oriented and was nothing short of an amazing person, touching the lives of people beyond his family. He enjoyed spending time laughing, smiling, playing games, and eating with his family and friends. He had a passion for cars, he loved the atmosphere of the Pomona car shows looking for ideas or parts for his car projects. Gilbert enjoyed traveling to new places (always wanting to stop by sports stadiums), working in the garage on projects, and had an amazing talent for drawing and airbrushing. But his favorite was always spending time with his family at gatherings, sporting events, camping, riding bike trails and watching movies. He was good at everything he did and was very creative in accomplishing tasks, nothing was impossible for him. He enjoyed life always said, “It’s not the years in your life but the life in those years.”
Gilbert is preceded in death by his father, Alejandro Garibay Sr. and his brother Alejandro Garibay Jr.
Gilbert is survived by his wife, Erica Molina Garibay, his children Isaiah, Noah, and Diego Garibay. He will be missed by his mother, Irene, his brother Juan, his sister Lupita along with his many aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces, and godchildren.
Visitation will be held on September 28th 5:00 pm-8:00 pm at Westminster Memorial Park and Mortuary Chapel.
Funeral Mass will be held on September 29th 11:00 am at St. Anne Catholic Church with burial preceding at Westminster Memorial Park.
