

Julieta (Julie) A. Walker, 85, passed away in Port Orange, FL on June 18, 2015. She was born in Manilla, Philippines, April 10, 1930. She started piano lessons at the age of four. During the 2nd World War, after two of her older brothers joined the American military, she and her family moved to the mountains of Quezon Province. During this time, her talent and skill came in handy. Julie gave piano recitals and provided accompaniment to other volunteer musicians to provide public entertainment. As a 12-year-old child, she did what she could to help in brightening up people’s lives in an otherwise, dire situation.
In October 1963, she fulfilled her dream of becoming a Pharmacist. Ten years later, armed with experience and education, she applied for and received permanent residency in the US. She moved to Chicago, IL; worked for Walgreens and the VA Hospital. She later transferred to CA; worked at the VA Hospital in Long Beach, where she retired after years of service. She enjoyed big parties, karaoke, eating out, meeting new people and entertaining in nursing homes and church functions.
She is survived by her younger brother, Edmundo Agana; six children from her first marriage: Romy Sintos, Angie Bodytko (Sintos), Ray Sintos, Ruben Sintos, Jr and Jet Sintos; 7 grandchildren, nieces, nephews & other relatives.
Julie was preceded in death by her parents, an older sister, four older brothers, and her second husband, Oliver L. Walker.
Her funeral will be on June 27 at the Westminster Memorial Park, Westminster, CA.
