Kelly Coreen Van Spanje

Kelly Coreen Van Spanje, loving wife, daughter, sister, granddaughter and aunt passed away on September 10, 2013, Kelly was a long time resident of Long Beach, California and loved the beach area. She was born in Norwalk, California on October 28, 1957 to Delores and Robert Burnham.

Graduated from John Glenn High School, Norwalk, California with honors, where she met Robert. They were high school sweethearts. They were together for 40 years, married for 31 years. Her loves in life were Robert, family and friends, their dogs, camping and their Idaho Cabin. She also enjoyed jet skiing, snow skiing and biking. She worked for the Los Alamitos Race Course for many years. She loved her job and the people she worked with. She will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her. She had a wonderful love of life, an infectious laugh and a great sense of humor. She is survived by her loving husband, Robert S. Van Spanje, mother Delores Burnham, brothers Michael (Cindy) and Mitchell (Laura) Burnham. Grandmother Evelyn Hefner, many nephews and great nieces. She was also a member of the Long Beach Petroleum Club. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2013 at the Petroleum Club, 3636 Linden Ave., Long Beach, California at 11:00 am with a reception to follow.
