

Kyle Leonard Moya was a modest man, quiet and observant in his ways. He was trustworthy and traditional in his approach to his life and in his relationships. He was tough-minded with the kind of “stick to it” attitude that earned the respect of all who knew him. He was also a man who was meticulous, carefully disciplined, and orderly in virtually everything he undertook. Realistic about life, he was always at the ready, prepared to take on responsibility.
Kyle was born on August 9, 1973 at West Anaheim Memorial Hospital in Anaheim, California. He was the son of Steve Moya and Linda Winkler (Don Winkler was his step-dad). Kyle grew up in Anaheim, California.
Kyle was raised with five siblings. He had an older brother Steve, two younger sisters Christy and Lisa and two younger brothers Max and Charlie. Kyle was usually involved in all sorts of activities with his siblings. He and his siblings experienced rivalries typical of a growing family, but they shared many life experiences over the years.
A typical teenager, Kyle had a fairly happy high school experience, making that critical transition from adolescence to adulthood. He enjoyed some classes more than others, having favorite subjects and teachers.
On April 20, 1996 Kyle exchanged wedding vows with Andrea Velasco at Disneyland Pacific Hotel of Anaheim, California. Empathic and loyal, Kyle was committed to making his new family happy.
Kyle worked hard to be a good father to his child and he did his best to fulfill her needs. Kyle was blessed with one child, Bailey Risa.
Fortunately, Kyle enjoyed what he did for a living. Showing a strong work ethic, Kyle worked diligently and did his best to succeed in his career. His primary occupation was mechanic for the Orange County Sanitation District. He was employed for six years with the City of Garden Grove. Kyle always sought to be a team player, doing what was necessary in order to get the job done.
Kyle enjoyed his leisure time by taking part in various hobbies. His favorite pursuits were camping, cars....cars....and more cars; his truck Sally and his car Sam. He was content to enjoy his favorite pastimes alone but was also willing to share his interests with others.
Kyle was a lover of animals and cherished his pets. One of his favorites was Cassidy, a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel (his 2nd child). They were best friends since 2007.
Kyle passed away on March 3, 2011 at his home in Stanton, California surrounded by many of his family members. He fought a long and brave battle against cancer. He is survived by his parents, wife Andrea, daughter Bailey, brothers Steve, Max and Charlie and his sisters Christy and Lisa. Services will be held on Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at 9:30 am in the Westminster Memorial Park Main Chapel. Kyle will be laid to rest in the Garden of Angels, next to Aunt Gloria and Alisa at Westminster Memorial Park. Arrangements under the direction of Westminster Memorial Park, 14801 Beach Blvd. Westminster, CA 92683.
Simply stated, Kyle was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by his family and friends as being a caring and giving person, someone who was a vital part of their lives. Kyle leaves behind him a legacy of life-long friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life he touched will always remember Kyle Leonard Moya.
