

“Tony” Lloyd L Largent of Los Alamitos, California passed away on Friday, September 3, 2021, at the age of 93. After several months of declining health, Tony died peacefully with his family by his side.
Tony was born April 14, 1928 in Fort Worth, TX, to his father Lloyd Largent and His mother Flora Largent. The oldest of two sons, Tony didn’t have the opportunity for much of a formal education, as he went to WWII at the young age of 15. He served in WWII in the Pacific, Tarawa, & Saipan from 1943-1945. From 1948-1952 He helped fight the Korean War’s Greatest Battle in Chosin Korea. He later became a Merchant Marine and delivered supplies to Russia. From there he helped build the first oil refinery in Saudi Arabia.
After his service as a Marine, Tony moved to Los Alamitos, CA after residing in Long Beach, CA. There he lived with his beautiful wife Joan, son Bob, & daughter Sherry. There he drove truck and was a plumber by trade.
It was like pulling teeth to get this man to retire, but once he did, he found comfort in having the best lawn on his street, being the best version of himself for his wife, family and dogs; Schultz and Sissy. Lastly, doing anything to help his family, friends and neighbors with most anything they needed, especially their plumbing.
Tony is Survived by his children Bob Largent, Sherry Pilarski and Sue Jenkins; grandchildren Donavon Largent, Jeff Largent, Heidi Pilarski, Jason Largent & Nicole Pilarski; great-grandchildren Jessica, Kirsten, Tyler, Shad, Robert, Abby, Davina, Trevor, Conner, Mitch & Logan; great-great-grandchildren Sadie, Sophie & Miles
A viewing for Tony is planned for September 20th 5:00 to 8:00pm at Westminster Memorial Park 14801 Beach Blvd. Westminster, CA 92683. The Funeral Service will be held at the same location Tuesday September 21st at 9:30am
