Mary Ruth Best

Mary R. Cheek was born 04/18/1945 in Long Beach, CA to Alan and Vivian Cheek.

She grew up in Long Beach, with her sister Cherron and brother Tommy TR.

Mary raised her 3 biological children and 2 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. At her home in La Habra, CA.

Mary loved the Lord.

She had an open heart and open door; she touched the lives of so many. She was devoted to her family. She took care of Her’s! Her love and forgiveness knew No limits. She was Loyal, she took many secrets to her grave! She never complained, always put 1 foot in front of the other and pushed forward. She is the strength of her family, in this life and the next. She fought a long hard fight. She passed away at home surrounded by the ones she loves and the ones who love her. As this was her wish.

Her mother Vivian, her eldest brother Tommy (TR) her younger brother David, her eldest daughter Marilyn, her grandchildren, Michael Colove, Devin Best and Melanie Best. There were many family members and friends that welcomed her at the pearly gate!

Granddaughter Sarah her husband Anwar Karam, Great-granddaughters Aria & Emilia.

Her son Raymond, his wife Michelle Best and their children.

Granddaughter Mariah, her husband Joshua Jones, her Great-granddaughter Emerson.

Grandson Tristian Best and Granddaughter Madison Best.

Her Eldest Sister Cherron Alley and her nieces Tammy and Kelly. Her niece Shara, Tommy TR’s daughter. and many Great nieces and Great nephews.
