Born in Trossachs, SK, she lived her entire life there. She married Lloyd William Moore on July 4, 1942 and had 61 years with him. Together they raised 10 children. Spending time with her family was her greatest joy and the more the merrier! Whether there were 10 or 60 for supper Mom always had enough room and food to go around. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, playing cards, dancing, sewing, gardening and also curled, even went to the ladies provincials one year. Her memory was great for recipes, dates, and phone numbers all off the top of her head with no problem. She was an excellent cook and never needed a recipe. Along with this she was a store owner, post mistress and farmer.
She loved to travel and made many trips including Alaska, Hawaii, Mexico, Jamaica and many trips to eastern and western Canada to visit family and friends. Starting in 1975 their winters were spent in Mesa, Arizona. They had a very active social life with many ‘Happy Hours’. They loved to have family and friends come and stay with them wherever they were.
