Cliff was born September 2, 1945 and was the only child of Fred and Elsie Martin. After attending Wheat Centre School, Queen Elizabeth and Weyburn Comprehensive he went to work on the farm with his father. He took over the operation of the farm after his father’s passing in 1979. Cliff was a good farmer and an avid reader who developed an interest in other cultures and far away places. This interest led him to the far East, China, Thailand, Hong Kong and Australia, to name a few. He enjoyed curling, gardening and visiting with friends, listening to old time music on Saturday night and long walks in the evening. After retirement he would get in his truck on Sunday morning and set out to explore other parts of southern Saskatchewan. Even after retirement he never lost interest in farming and helped out with seeding and harvest until his health started to fail. Cliff was a kind and caring man and a great friend, he will be missed. Clifford is survived by his cousin George (Maureen) Amos as well as other relatives and good friends.
At Clifford’s request there will be no formal service.
Arrangements under the direction of Fletcher Funeral Chapel, Weyburn, SK.
