Garth Bruce Griffin

1961~2018

On the morning of Sunday, April 1, 2018 Garth suffered a massive heart attack at home and passed away in Regina.

Garth was born on January 3, 1961 in Regina, and grew up on the family farm at Osage. After graduating from Fillmore School, Garth obtained a diploma in Agriculture from the University of Saskatchewan. He then attended Kelsey Institute in Saskatoon, where he took a Heavy Equipment Mechanics course. Garth went back to the U of S and attained his Bachelor of Science in Agriculture. He was also a member of the Saskatchewan Institute of Agrologists. Garth returned to Osage to his passion of farming. He enjoyed going to auctions and collecting unique pieces. He was entertained watching his nieces and nephews through the years. They brought him tremendous joy.

Garth is survived by his mother, Margaret; sister, Sheila (Lorne) and their daughter, Nadine (Chris) and their son, William and son, Morgan; brother, Steven (Carolyn) and their children, Daniel, Kathryn, Sarah and Evan; brother, Shawn and sister, Tara and her son, Griffin. Garth was predeceased by his father, Bruce.

Please join the family to Celebrate Garth’s Life at a Graveside Service on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Osage Cemetery, Osage, Saskatchewan with Reverend Allan Gairns officiating. A reception will follow at the Osage Recreation Centre. Flowers are gratefully declined.
