Marian Barbara Keller

With love and sadness our family announces the quiet passing of our beloved mother on June 30, 2011. Marian was born July 30, 1928 in Huronville, Saskatchewan to Adam and Barbara Schneider. Marian married Peter Keller January 3, 1950, and resided on a farm north of Fillmore and then retired to town. Marian lived her life for family and friends. She played many musical instruments and shared her gift by playing for family functions and with a musical group called the Originals, which entertained at Nursing Homes and Senior Centers in nearby communities. Mom enjoyed her garden of flowers and vegetables, crocheting and catering to her family. We will never forget the Christmas/New Years gatherings, her annual work projects, like garage building, shingling, siding, also deck and patio making. She was involved with the Catholic Church and Drop-In Centre in various capacities for many years.

Marian was predeceased by her parents: Adam & Barbara Schneider; sister: Beth Lornson; husband: Peter Keller and sons: Brian & Johnny Keller.

Marian will be lovingly remembered by her children: Judy (Jerry) Stewart of Regina, SK, Richard (Lorette) Keller of Fillmore, SK, Lori (Doug) Peter of Regina, SK, Jim (Janet) Keller of Fillmore, SK and Kevin (Beryl) Keller of Edmonton, AB; daughter-in-law: Pat Keller of Regina, SK; brothers: Richard (Ann) Schneider and Martin (Delores) Schneider; grandchildren: Melanie (Scott), Jason, Jamie, Cristalee (Tory), Curtis (Amber), Stacey, Mark (Tricia), Karen, Clayton, Lyle, Megan, Jackie and Tayler; numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

A Funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, July 6th, 2011 at 10:30 AM from St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, Fillmore, Saskatchewan with Father Louis Abello celebrating. Interment was in Fillmore Cemetery, Fillmore, Saskatchewan followed by lunch.

Pallbearers were Jason Stewart, Curtis Keller, Lyle Peter, Clayton Keller, Tayler Keller, Karen Keller. In Lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Marian may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
