To Lynn's Family,

I wish to extend my sincere sympathy to you all. Lynn and I were able to re-connect in the later years which was so good.

It's hard to find the best words to describe this beautiful soul.
 
      She taught our sons (along with another couple of Griffin locals) piano lessons when they were very young. Not many would invite their young novice  students to form a little band to play at their wedding, but she did. Because of her confidence in them, they did a great job playing "Morning has Broken" at her wedding ceremony to Cliff.  

     She was truly one of a kind. We have so many fond memories of this extraordinarily kind, humble, gentle and compassionate woman. Our sincere condolences to all of her family.

My heart felt condolences on the passing of this lovely woman, to Mary Lynn’s family. She was so very proud of her sons.  She was a sweet, soft spoken person who was always very welcoming when I was back there and saw her. She enjoyed her garden so much. I recall a visit where she shared she was going to try to propagate our beautiful prairie crocus from seed. I have often wondered if she had success with 5his.

To Lynn’s family,
We, the Sander family of Griffin, want to send our sincere condolences on the passing of your mom. We remember as she and your dad ran the post office and grocery store in Griffin. My sister remembers our mom phoning in the grocery list so our dad could pick the groceries all packed and ready after his bus run. Your mom and our mom truly loved gardening and had many chats about plants.I enjoyed visiting with your mom at recent Weyburn Horticulture meetings.  She was such a kind and gentle person! Sending prayers your way!

The laughter, the singing, the music, the walks and talks, the wonderful meals together, roasting hot dogs, potato salad, mosquitos, the lake, all the furniture that Mimi refinished beautifully. Celebrations of all kinds. Too many wonderful memories. I love you with all my heart, Mimi 💖

My deepest sympathies to Mary Lynn’s family. I always appreciated the letters and cards we would receive from her and my grandpa Cliff. Such a sweet, kind and compassionate lady.

On our visit last summer, we taught Mary Lynn 2 new card games and she taught us one of her favorites, 5 card rummy. Then , Brian and Sharon joined us for supper at a restaurant just down the street and Mary Lynn refused to not pick up the bill. This was very common practice for her!

My heartfelt sympathy to Lynn’s family.  She had the most beautiful flower beds and started her plants from seed.  Soft spoken, kind.  She didn’t ever want to ask for help and I always gave her heck for not asking.  I remember a small part of her eavestrough came down in the wind & I found out that she asked someone for a quote to put up a couple feet of eavestrough again and they wanted to charge her $300.00.  I asked my husband to slip over and fix it and when he did she wanted to pay him.  He told her no as good neighbours didn’t do that.  She was a very early riser and I always tried to beat her out to remove the snow before she got started on her’s and she came over to start mine.  Not that I didn’t appreciate the thought but so I made sure to beat her out get mine done & start on her’s.  Lynn my good neighbour I will miss you and our visits and occasional lunches out.  Your a ray of sunshine in Heaven now and will make the flowers bloom!

My most Sincere Sympathy on the loss of your Mom and Grandma. 
I have not had the pleasure of meeting any of Lynn’s family but I wish you to know that Lynn will be missed at Grace United Church. She was a faithful volunteer for many church activities and her quiet and kind presence will be missed.

My sympathy to the Naylor boys and their  families. I have so many good memories of going to the Naylors for suppers when I was growing up. We would play hide and seek in the store that they owned in Griffin. Mary Lynn was such a lovely lady, always stopped to chat and so proud of her boys. May she Rest In Peace. Penny McKee(Morton)

Mary Lynn was one of the first Griffin women that I met!  Had a nice chat with her downtown, not long ago! A wonderful lady!
