

Albert Jr. 89, passed away on Tuesday, July 8th at Intermountain Health. He was 89 years old born on August 26th, 1935. Survived by his wife Yvonne, children JoAnn McBridge, and brothers Brian and Michael Hutchens.
Albert was preceded in death by his parents Margaret Brooks (12/3/1970) and Albert Hutchens (8/18/1982).
He was a graduate of Rayton High School in Kansas, class of 1954.
Al and his wife of 58 years retired and lived in Arvada, Colorado.
Survived by his sister Linda & Ted (Ted deceased), Maryl and Larry Hutchens (deceased), Noreen and Charles Miller (Charles deceased), along with many nieces and nephews.
Albert Hutchens has been a teacher, mentor, and a friend to many young men involved with the Scouting program for over 50 years, and both of his sons are Eagle Scouts. During these years of service to youth, he has earned such prestigious awards as: The Scoutmasters Award, The Scouters Key, The Scouters Training Award, 2 District Awards of Merit from The Front Range and Timberline Districts, The Wood Badge, The Coveted Silver Beaver Award, and 2002 Citizen of the Year Award from Highlands Masonic Lodge #86.
Al owned his own business, Hutch Metal Products, Inc. for over 25 years serving the Denver area and State of Colorado. His metalworking skills are evident in many venues across the state. Some of his labors have been at such notable places as: The Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, The Colorado Springs Ice Skating Rink, Rocky Flats Facility in Golden Colorado, and Denver International Airport (DIA).
Al is an Honorary Warrior in the Tribe of Mic-O-Say at H. Roe Bartle Scout Reservation in Osceola, Missouri.
