Alice Jane Ward

Alice was born July 28, 1937 to William Scott Rockwell and Ruth Lucille Hall in Hillrose, CO. Her family moved to the Denver area in 1954.

Alice met Milton “Bud” Ward while working at the Lakeshore Drive-In Movie Theater in Edgewater. Bud and Alice were married on April 6, 1958 and went on to have two children, Christy and Steven. Bud passed unexpectedly in October, 2001.

Alice worked as a self-employed drapery seamstress for many years, and, after receiving her GED, went on to work as a billing clerk in the transportation industry.

Alice enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time in the mountains at the cabin near Rand, CO. She loved her dogs, especially Ginger and Abby.

Alice was predeceased by her husband Bud. She is survived by her brother, Ed Rockwell, children Christy (Mark) Granger, and Steven Ward, grandchildren Donavan Ward and Hilary (Brad) King, great grandchildren Ashlei and Caleb King. Alice also has many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at Crown Hill Cemetery on Friday, November 8th at 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations can be made in tribute to Alice at National Jewish Health, nationaljewish.org/giving.
