Alice Eulene Widdifield

She was born in Miltonvale, Kansas, graduated from Miltonvale Wesleyan Academy, and then attended Miltonvale Wesleyan College. She married Donald Edwards on June 18, 1947. Donald Edwards died on April 1, 1961. She married Charles Howard Widdifield on June 12, 1973. Charles Howard Widdifield died on September 21, 2004. She was a pastor’s wife for 13 years. After being widowed, she worked for the V.F. Smith Insurance Agency for approximately 15 years. After marrying Charles Howard Widdifield, she worked for Widdico Specialty Advertising and Widdico Management Company for the remainder of her working years. She was an active member of Galilee Baptist Church for approximately 40 years. Prior to that she was an active member of Calvary Temple for 12 years. She also volunteered at Dayton Place every Tuesday for over 25 years. She taught Sunday School classes for many years. She led the children’s choir at Calvary Temple for many years. She sang in the choir at Calvary Temple. She was involved in many activities for many organizations. She had a true servant’s heart. She is survived by her two children Ronald Edwards and Jeanette Edwards. She is also survived by her Step-Son, Ron Widdifield. She had 5 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made out to The Denver Seminary. A viewing will be held at 10:00 a.m. on November 20th at Crown Hill, followed by a grave side service at 11:00 a.m. the memorial service will be held at Galilee Baptist Church at 2:00 p.m.
