March 7, 1936 – April 25, 2025
Ann DePinto passed away peacefully in her sleep at The Gardens on Quail in Arvada, Colorado, at the age of 89.
Ann was born on March 7, 1936, in Mitchell, South Dakota, to Carl and Catherine Schiltz. She graduated from Notre Dame High School in 1954. After graduating she worked at The Corn Palace in Mitchell, before attending college for a year and a half. She later moved to Denver, Colorado, with her best friend to begin a new adventure.
In Denver, Ann worked as a secretary and later married Thomas J. DePinto on February 13, 1960. After having two children, Daniel and Catherine, she became a devoted stay-at-home mother. Once her children reached high school, she returned to work as a dental receptionist and continued in that role until her retirement. She had a gift for making people feel welcome and always enjoyed chatting with patients in the waiting room.
Faith and community were central to Ann’s life. She was a devoted member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, where she attended daily Mass, participated in the bereavement committee, and spent time in weekly adoration. Her faith was a quiet but constant source of strength.
Ann also had an adventurous and active spirit. She loved golfing, skiing, and bowling and was a proud member of several women’s leagues. She and her late husband Tom shared a love for travel, especially cruises with family and friends.
Ann is survived by her loving children: her son Daniel DePinto of Arvada, Colorado; her daughter Catherine Duncan and son-in-law Jeff Duncan of Westminster, Colorado. She was a proud grandmother to six grandchildren: Gianna, Paige, and Julianna Duncan, Devin Barbero, and Thomas and Jaclyn DePinto.
She is reunited in Heaven with her beloved husband, Thomas DePinto; her sister, Mickey Stamper; and her parents, Carl and Catherine Schiltz.
Ann’s gentle heart, warm smile, and unwavering love will be missed by all who knew her.
