Bert Lee Myers

Bert is survived by his wife Betty Wilkinson, mother Marion Castro, two sons Bert Lee Myers III (Olivia Mendoza) and James Steven Myers, two grandchildren Bert Lee Myers IV and Amelia Raksaya Myers, siblings Mary (Tom) Lopez, Jennie (Henry) Kelly, Sylvia Garcia, Emerlinda (John) Cruz, Virgina(Ernie) Sandoval, Manuel R. Castro, Patricia St Clair, and numerous nieces, nephews, stepchildren, and step-grandchildren. Bert is preceded in death by his dad Manuel E. Castro and his father Bert Lee Myers. Bert enjoyed Folk dancing on the first Sunday of every month at Maple Grove Grange in Wheat Ridge, Co., on Thursday evenings in the summer with Shukr at Washington Park and the annual Folkdance Party in August. Bert also enjoyed fishing and gardening. Volunteering was something that Bert felt passionately about. He volunteered at Telecom Pioneers painting maps at grade schools, picking up trash and making white boards for local schools, Beep Ball (Softball for the visually impaired) making beeping softballs and bases, Bonfils Blood Donor

donating a prodigious amount, and at Maple Grove Grange as a past master and helping with building maintenance.

A Memorial Service will be held 5/27/15 at 10am at Crown Hill Pavilion with a potluck reception to follow at Maple Grove Grange. In lieu of flowers Bert's family would appreciate a donation to your favorite educational institution, a deserving student, LAEF- Latin American Educational Foundation, Arrupe, or Lutheran Collier Hospice.
