Bettilou Florence Bayles

Bettilou was born on December 28th, 1926 in Denver, Colorado. She married Dewaine “Dick” Bayles on April 10th, 1952 in Denver. Bettilou’s passion was caring for others, and she was a life-long nurse, graduating from nursing school in 1949. She worked in many capacities as a nurse, from being a clinical instructor at Children’s Hospital, as well as a staff nurse there, at AMC Cancer Research Center and later Villa Manor Care Center, where she retired. Bettilou had strong Faith, and was a member of the Shrine for nearly 60 years, even rising to the rank of Worthy High Priestess during her service. Bettilou was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was over-the-moon excited when her great-granddaughter, Lyla, was born on her birthday.

Bettilou will be sorely missed by her children: Sherri Sheeran, Robert Bayles and Richard (Brigette) Bayles; grandchildren: Dana Sheeran, David Sheeran, Ryan (Misha) Bayles, Lexy (Troy) Ramsdell, Nikki Zack, Kelly Bayles, Tony (Katelyn) Bayles and Malissa Bayles, and ten great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dick, and parents Ingvald “Ed” and Esther Iverson.
