June 18, 1947 – June 24, 2025
With deep love and heartfelt sorrow, we announce the passing of Jean Herndon, who left this world on June 24, 2025, at the age of 78 in Lutz, Florida. Born in Denver, Colorado on June 18, 1947, Jean lived a life filled with joy, kindness, and an unwavering devotion to her family.
Jean was the heart of her home and a source of light to all who knew her. She is survived by her beloved husband, Charles Herndon; her loving daughter, Laura (Micki) Murawski, and son-in-law, Paul Murawski; her cherished grandchildren, Dylan Thirsk and Raelynn Thirsk; and her dear sister, Bobbi Mollohan. She also leaves behind many close friends and her adored fur babies, who were all part of the family she treasured so deeply.
Known for her easygoing and caring nature, Jean’s spirit was as vibrant as her favorite color—purple. She loved dressing up for Halloween, dancing to a good beat, and spreading joy wherever she went. Her love for travel, palm trees, and the white sands of the beach reflected the peaceful soul and free spirit she truly was.
Jean brought people together with laughter and warmth. Whether it was a family gathering, a beach day, or a spontaneous dance in the living room, she reminded us to savor life’s simple pleasures and love with our whole hearts.
A celebration of Jean’s life will be held on July 8th at 10:00 a.m. at Crown Hill Mortuary & Cemetery in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. Guests are encouraged to wear purple or any color that reminds them of Jean’s joyful and compassionate spirit.
Flower arrangements may be sent directly to Crown Hill.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jean’s memory to the American Cancer Society or the Bladder Cancer Advocacy Network (BCAN).
Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
