I am Dale and Kathy's neice. 

I am sending my condolences to Pappi's family and all who knew him.  We lost Pappi but heaven gained an Angel. Just thinking about Pappi put's a smile on my face. He was always so kind and talkative.  Ready to join any conservation.  Everytime I sat with him, I just loved listening to him share his stories. I know he is happy as he has joined his wife and I'm sure he is talking her ear off right now.  :) May you rest in peace Pappi and may God provide comfort to all who knew and loved him dearly. Bill and I were brothers, raised up separately, caused by our parent's divorce when we were very young.
We laughed, played and fought, just like any 2 boys when we were together.  Even though we were half brothers, Billy Joe was no different than a full one.
Mama lived in San Antonio when Bill came home from the Army and Korea.  He had some "frost bite" from that terrible cold Korea,  and a bullet wound, but I never heard him complain.
I have a lot of fond memories of all of us kids and think of them often.
Bye, Brother.  Some day Ruth and I will see you two again.  We loved Stella just like Bill.  Now they are together and can Rest In Peace.

I am beyond honored to call Papi/Uncle Bull!   Not a typo! My uncle.  He taught us what honor and loyalty are.  He taught us what true love is.  He taught us what it means to put everyone else before your self.  He showed us what patriotism looks like.  I was privileged enough to escort him to the WW 2 memorial in DC.  We need to be more like him and honor his life by letting his spirit live in our actions.   The world was a better place with you here, but it’s your turn now Papi!  I know you and Aunt Stella are reunited walking the streets of glory with all the family and loved ones that went before.  You will be missed dearly and or grieving is only tamed by knowing where your eternal home is.  You touched my life and I am better because of it, your spirit lives on Papi! My sweet Pappi! I will cherish our special times together! I will always remember going to visit you and Grandma.Staying the night and going to Disneyland! You making us French Toast and fried eggs!  You would always have your coffee in hand and a cookie near by. Candy in a dish ready for us! I will remember you cheering us on at our sporting events. You were so proud of us and loved us unconditionally. Thank you for never judging us but always supporting us regardless. I will carry that with me and always remember how you had a smile on your face and I will definitely miss all yours funny stories. I love you and I will miss you so much! I know you are happy to see Grandma! I’m truly blessed to have called you my Pappi. Thank you for choosing me as your first born granddaughter! I love you always! Zaria loves you and will always have the memories you made with her! She remembers doing summer salts in the front yard with you. Thank you for simply being you! You’re the definition of a great man! I love you my Pappi! Watch over us!! 

My Pappy always had a smile on his face. A joke to tell. Coffee always made and a cookie in hand. He was nothing short of a hero to this country. He was such a loving and devoted husband to my grandmother. On top of being the best father and grandfather to his family. Ill always think of you everyday and make sure my future family knows you and always remembers you. I love you endlessly Pappy. Now enjoy your endless green chili, and endless pots of coffee and cookies. I hope youre dancing and loving your time in Heaven. Give grandma a kiss for me.
