Carolyn M. Schwab

Carolyn was born in Denver, CO. to the late John Ernest Duran and Stella Ann Duran on July 27, 1941.

Carolyn graduated from Cathedral High School in Denver, in 1959. During the 70’s Carolyn moved to Woodland Park, CO and began working for the Colorado Springs P.D. Carolyn moved her family to Arvada, CO. in 1980 as she began her career at Holland and Hart-Law Firm in Denver.

She retired from H & H in July of 2003 and started working her job she loved the most, being an usher for the Colorado Rockies. There she not only got to watch the games but was able to work and meet some of her favorite people in her life. Carol continued working for the Rockies until she was no longer able to after the start of the 2019 season. Carolyn married her late husband August Lee Schwab on December 24, 1992.

She is survived by her four children, Paul M. Duran, Karen L. (Duran) Barringer, Darron E. Tucker, and Traci A. Rock; Daughter-in-law Jenny Duran and Tamy Tucker; Son-in-law Paul Barringer; Step-daughter Shaylee (Schwab) Tibljas and step-son Jon Schwab. Sister of Ernestine Paoli. Twelve grandchildren: Brian Barringer, Briana (Barringer) Harshman, Megan, Cole, and Devin Duran, Dallas, Lauren, and Taylor Tucker. Daylon and Jesse Rock. Katjana and D'Artagnan Burnham. Four step-grandchildren: Taner, Trey, and Trevor Tibljas. Cassidy Schwab. Two great-grandchildren: Jetter and Braelyn Harshman.

Carolyn loved Jesus, her family, her friends, and her Rockies.

Services in memory of her life will be held on Thursday, September 26, 2019, at Spirit of Christ, Catholic Church at 11 a.m.
