David Goodlett "Grampa Bunny"

David was born to Homer and Ruth Goodlett on June 28th, 1930 in Arvada, CO. He was 1 of 3 sons and was proceeded in death by his parents and 2 brothers, John and Robert Goodlett. David attended and graduated from Arvada High School where he was a "Future Farmer Boy Arvada" in 1946. He loved sports and ran track, played basketball and baseball.

David was employed by the Catholic Register and then the Denver Post where he held the position of President of the Paper Handlers Union for 3 terms and was then Foreman of the Paper Handlers for 30 years.

He married Rita Roberts on July 22nd, 1960 and she preceded him in death in 2003. David and Rita adopted Maureen in 1965. She is married to Michael Walters.

David loved golf, baseball and ice cream, but most of all his family. He has 1 grandson, Heath and a great grand daughter Willow. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter Victoria. His niece Judy Cafiero was always a joy in his life.

David was active on the Arvada Liquor Licensing Board in the 1980's, an Elder and Deacon at Arvada Presbyterian Church throughout his years in Arvada. He was also a volunteer at Parker Adventist Hospital for 15 years up until the age of 90.

There will be a Visitation on Thursday Oct. 28th from 1pm to 5pm at Olinger Crown Hill and a Graveside Service on Friday Oct. 29th at 2:00 pm.
