

David passed away peacefully in Arvada, Colorado on Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at the age of 74. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, whether it be in Arvada or at his cabin on his mountain property. He spent his working life before retirement as an executive at Leprino Foods. Some of his hobbies included forest mitigation, hunting, fishing, camping, and brewing beer. His family and friends were so fortunate to have had known him, and their lives will be forever changed in his absence.
Survivors include his brother, Joe, and his wife Kate Kielsmeier; his two sisters, Diane Simmons and Nancy Morris; his nieces and nephews, Nick Kielsmeier, Max Kielsmeier, Lee Olyer, Erin Rohlf, Michelle Jones, and Jeffrey Morris; his two stepdaughters, Kellie and her husband Tim McDonald and Kristin and her husband Bryson Rintala; five adoring grandchildren: Caelen, Mhari, Carter, Kinley, and Amalie. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Kielsmeier, his son, John Kielsmeier, his daughter Loraine Kielsmeier, and his former wife Luanne Kielsmeier.
A memorial will take place at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, September 10, 2024 at Olinger Crown Hill Mortuary & Cemetery, 7777 W. 29th Ave. in Wheat Ridge, CO. His ceremony will be held in the round pavilion building to the north of the parking lot, the Pavilion of Reflection. A brief reception will follow at the same location.
