Delwin “Del” Durman entered into life in September 1954 and passed away peacefully in May 2022 surrounded by his loving family. A life long resident of Wheat Ridge, he loved the beauty of Colorado. Del graduated from Jefferson High School in Edgewater, Colorado and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Services from Metropolitan State College. He was an avid gardener, with his beautiful gardens appreciated by all who saw them. An accomplished singer, he participated in several community and church choirs. As an antique collector and dealer, he had an incredible eye for rare and beautiful antiques. Del was deeply religious, living a life full of faith. He was the “really fun Uncle Del” to his niece and nephews, taking them to every playground and Baskin Robbins/Dairy Queen he could find. A prankster at heart, he was known to contribute some totally ridiculous jokes and lots of fun at family gatherings. Del was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Olive Durman. He is survived by his three sisters, Diana, Sherri (Craig), and Vera (Bob), his niece Katie (Dustin), and nephews Robert and Jens.
Del will be remembered for his kindness, compassion, generosity, and a delightful sense of humor. A devoted son, brother, uncle, and friend, he was always eager to help anyone in every way possible. Del will be greatly missed by all who knew him!
