Dee was born February 16, 1936 in Denver, CO to William and Katherine (Bentz) Archer. Dennie lived her entire life in the Denver area, graduating from Denver North High School with the class of 1954. She worked as a clerk at the old Federal Center in downtown Denver for several years. On December 19, 1958 she married Robert (Bob) Bowman in Denver and they soon bought and settled into a home in unincorporated Adams County where they would stay until Bob passed away in 2001 and Dee moved into an Assisted Living facility in April, 2024. Bob and Dennie were the proud parents of one daughter, Paula, and Dennie was a stay at home mom until Bob had to take a medical retirement and Paula entered High School. She then went to work for Fred Schmid Appliances as a filing and credit clerk.
Dennie enjoyed bowling in a daytime league for several years and had many trophies that she and her teams had won over the years. With her family, she spent time camping and going on outings with the 4-wheel drive club they belonged to. Many great family vacations were also enjoyed while Paula was growing up. In her later years, she liked to watch HGTV and true crime shows on TV and do word search puzzles. While still living at home, she loved going out to lunch everyday and had many friends that she looked forward to visiting with at various restaurants.
Dee is survived by her daughter, Paula Cronk of Lander, WY and two grandchildren, Shelby (Noah) Rohrbacher of Lander, WY and Mason Cronk (Katie Benjamin) of Walker, MN.
She was preceded in death by her mother, father and husband of 42 years, Bob.
A private graveside service will be held June 30, 2025 at Crown Hill Cemetery, Wheatridge, CO.
