"I will always remember Uncle Larry for his random facts and stories, I always looked forward to seeing him every Thanksgiving, Christmas, and a few other occasions throughout the year. Somehow ever since I was a little kid he always knew the perfect Christmas present. I don't know how he did it but I was always excited to see what he had for me. We never told each other I love you or hugged, but some things are just known and I hope that he knew that I loved him and that I will miss him" - Lisa Phillips, Niece
"Larry had a special fondness for Celtic music and men's quartets, often sharing his favorite songs with me. His love of music was matched by his enthusiasm for discovering new recipes - he delighted in browsing YouTube for culinary inspiration and would often talk excitedly about dishes he hoped to try. These simple joys brought him happiness and he enjoyed sharing recipes with me.
Family gatherings were especially dear to Larry. He cherished holidays and backyard barbeques, where laughter and good food brought everyone together. One particularly memoriable moment was Thanksgiving 2025, Larry was especially helpful to me as the final touches were being made to the holiday meal, he stepped in with kindness and energy- mashing potatoes, arranging dishes into serving bowls, and setting them out on the buffet table without even being asked! His presence that day was a gift to all who shared it.
Larry was an exceptional brother-in-law whose generosity and companionship left a lasting impression. His absence will be deeply felt by those who knew him.
May his memory bring comfort to all who shared in his life" - Jill Phillips, sister-in-law
