Elsie Theresa Gallegos

She was surrounded by her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, sister and nieces in her final hours.

Elsie was preceded in death by the love of her life and beloved husband of 69 years James Gallegos.

Elsie is survived by her devoted and loving family members including three daughters, Becky Rangel and husband Cruz, Julie Lopez and husband Dan, Christine Cordova and her husband Gary Levin.

She is also survived by her seven grandchildren, Seth Cordova, Crystal Raulston, AJ Cardenas, Shayna Barco, Candace Day, Jesse Jurado and Samantha Cordova.

She was preceded in death by her granddaughter Diana Cardenas.

Surviving great grandchildren include Connor and Eleanor Whalen, William (Liam)

Barco, Logan, Isabella and AnnaElena Raulston, Anthony Cardenas, Johnny, Veronica and Charly Day, Victoria Pande, Elisa, Savion and Gavin Cardenas.

Elsie was preceded in death by her parents Jesusita and Francisco Villegas and sisters and brothers, Katie, Sara, Sophia, Tillie, Dena, Theresa, Joe, Paul, Frank, and Arthur.

She is also survived by her beloved sister Rachel Arguello.

Elsie was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother who found great joy spending time with her family.

She also had many years of happiness traveling with her husband Jim.

Together they took many cruises and enjoyed taking several trips to Las Vegas.

Throughout her life Elsie found great comfort and peace in her faith and the Catholic religion.

We would like to thank the staff at San Marino who were caring and attentive to her in her final days and throughout her experience living in the facility.

We will miss you Mom, Grandma, Great Grandma and Sister.

You will live in our hearts and minds forever.

I’d like the tears of those who grieve, to dry before the sun; Of happy memories that I leave when life is done. Because I have loved life, I shall have no sorrow to die. I have sent up my gladness on wings, to be lost in the blue of the sky.

Visitation will be at St Peter and Paul Catholic Church at 3900 Pierce St. Wheat Ridge Colorado on Wednesday August 21, 2024 at 8:45 a.m. followed by Recitation of the Rosary at 9:15 a.m. reading of Eulogy 9:45 a.m. and funeral mass at 10:00 a.m.

Following funeral services at 12 p.m. she will be taken to her final resting place at Mount Olivet Catholic Cemetery 12801 W 44th Avenue, Wheat Ridge Colorado.
