Emma De La Cruz, 90, from Denver, passed away on February 17, 2015 after a short illness. Preceded in death by her husband Frank and beloved mother Mary and stepfather John Carrasco. She is survived by her daughter Linda (Joseph) who lovingly looked after her. She had two granddaughters, Nicolette and Cassandra and one great granddaughter, Chelsea, all whom she loved deeply and who loved her just as much. She is also survived by 2 brother-in-laws, Joe De La Cruz and John De La Cruz, both from California and numerous nieces and nephews. . Services will be held on Thursday, February 26, 2015 at Guardian Angels Catholic Church, 1843 W. 52 Ave. 80221. Rosary will be at 10 a.m. and the funeral mass will immediately follow at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be at Mount Olivet. The family owes a debt of gratitude to the staff at Clear Creek Care Center for the tremendous care and compassion they showed Emma. Everyone who met her was touched by her kindness, generous spirit, great sense of humor and feistiness. She will be missed.
