Erna Sarrazin was born in a small town outside of Berlin, Germany. She moved to Denver in 1950 and worked many years for the Denver Housing Authority. She is survived by daughters Christa and Heidi, as well as a son David.
Erna enjoyed hiking in the rockies with her children, and was a member of the Colorado Mountain Club. She loved wildflowers in both the mountains and her garden. She also enjoyed taking cooking classes, becoming an expert in baking desserts.
Travel was an experience Erna enjoyed in her later years, with trips to Europe, Hawaii and the Caribbean; but she always enjoyed returning home to Colorado.
