Flora Jean Stutz Starks passed away peacefully surrounded by family at her home on June 14, 2024. Jean was born on April 21, 1933, as the only child to Bernard and Angie Stutz in Denver, Colorado. She attended Catholic school until her junior year when she transferred to North High School and graduated in 1951. Jean worked for North Denver Bank for several years. She married John Starks on 11-18-71 in Georgetown, Colorado and moved to Carbondale, CO. They moved to Denver in 2003 to be closer to Jean’s family. Jean and her husband loved to travel, visiting more than 20 countries before John’s passing. Jean was always ready to go when you would call her. She loved to try new restaurants, loved to entertain and loved to dress up for Halloween to hand out Candy to all the kids who came to her door.
Jean is preceded in death by her husband, John, her parents, Bernard and Angie Stutz, her sister-in-law Helen George and Ruth Ernst.
She is survived by her niece, Lynda Keogh from CT, her nephews Larry Ernst from Hawaii, Ron Ernst from Texas and several cousins.
