Florencio Felix Evangelista

Felix was 84 years old at the time of his death. He lived in Lakewood, Colorado with his wife Dora Suazo Evangelista. Felix passed on February 17th at approximately 10:45 AM at St. Anthony’s Hospital from complications due to cancer.

Felix was born February 13, 1941 in Adams City, Colorado. His parents were Mary Aurelia Espinoza and Florencio Perez Evangelista. Feliz grew up in Denver, Colorado on 9th Street. He was the oldest of eleven children born to Aurelia and Florencio. He married Marianna Elizalde on November 26, 1960. Felix graduated from Cathedral High School in 1959. Felix held numerous occupational positions, such as the Denargo Market retail produce delivery and manager, restaurant business owner, and Food Service & Culinary Industry at CU Boulder. He received an award from CU Boulder for his contribution in kitchen design. He loved cooking, sports, billiards, golfing, dancing, listening to music, gardening, playing games and traveling.

Felix is survived by his current wife Dora, his blended family; his children and their spouses, grandchildren and their spouses and his great grandchildren.

Felix’s Celebration of Life will be held Monday March 3, 2025 between the hours of 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM at the Lakewood Link Recreation Center. 1295 South Reed Street, Lakewood, CO 80232.

In lieu of flowers, the family is accepting contributions towards Felix’s memorial service.
