

Gene Eichorn passed away peacefully on June 30, 2022. Gene was born on September 24, 1936 in Hardin, Montana on the Crow Indian Reservation. His parents moved to eastern Wyoming when he was an infant. He attended school in Huntley, Wyoming. In 1954 he joined the Army and was discharged in 1956. He married Ann Tully in November, 1957 and they moved to Arizona for two years. They then moved to Colorado to raise their family.
Gene worked in the consumer finance industry from 1957-1963. He then moved to the auto retail business in 1963 working as finance manager, sales manager, general manager, partner, and principal dealer and owner until 1985. He then was self employed as an auto wholesaler until 2001 when he retired.
In 2001 Ann & Gene moved to Scottsbluff, Nebraska to help take care of Ann’s parents. They then moved back to Colorado in 2011. Family was very important to Gene and he was able to watch his grandchildren get married and he got to meet his great grandson and great granddaughter. He was a very dedicated husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was also very involved in his church and got to be very close to a lot of people through his church.
Gene was preceded in death by his wife, Ann; their infant son, Michael; their daughter, Linda; his parents, Henry & Esther Eichorn; his sister, Ruth Floth; and his brother, Terry Eichorn. He is survived by his daughter Kathi (Brad) Wegscheider; his two grandchildren, Brandy (Andy) Kapustensky, and Brent (Christina) Wegscheider; his great-grandson, Ty Wegscheider; his great-granddaughter, Berkley Kapustensky; his sister, Betty Martinson; his brother, Dan Eichorn; his aunt, Elsie Simpson; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
There will be a service and celebration of Gene’s life at Fellowship Covenant Church, 5615 W. 64th Avenue, Arvada, Colorado on July 21, 2022 at 11:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Fellowship Covenant Church.
