Gerald (Corky) Barvinchak passed away on November 25, 2025 from Alzheimer’s disease. He was 78. Originally from Binghamton, NY, Gerald attended Chenango Valley High and obtained his B.A. degree in history from the State of NY college at Cortland. Arriving in Colorado in 1972, Corky got into carpentry and home building, ending his career working on custom homes in the mountains. It was love for him. He is survived by his loving family including his wife of 53 years, Susan from Morrison, son Jed, daughter-law Becky, grandsons Chase and Cole from Highlands Ranch, older brother Tom and sister-in-law Audrey in Ocala, Florida and younger brother Richard and sister-in-law Kim from San Diego and many nieces, nephews and cousins scattered throughout the country. A memorial service will be held on Friday December 12 at Olinger Crown Hill, 7777 W. 29th Ave, Wheat Ridge, Colorado in the Pavilion of Reflection.
