Ha Phi Hung, age 62, passed away peacefully at his home on April 23, 2025. Born on August 3, 1963, in Rạch Giá, Kiên Giang, Vietnam, Hung built a life marked by deep love, selflessness, and quiet strength.
Hung immigrated to the United States with determination and courage, laying a foundation not only for his own family but also for those he supported back home in Vietnam. A skilled machinist by trade, Hung was known for his tireless work ethic and unwavering commitment to helping others. Whether offering a hand to a neighbor or guidance to a friend, his kindness knew no limits.
Above all, Hung was devoted to his wife, Thao Phuong Phan, whom he cherished deeply. He carried the weight of building a new life for her and her family with grace, while also supporting his loved ones abroad. He was a loving and proud father to his son, Andy Hiep Ha, and his daughter, Annie Hoa Ha, and found joy in watching them grow and flourish. He also welcomed his son-in-law, Daniel James Huppenthal, with open arms and a generous heart.
Hung had a quiet joy in the simple things—he loved playing video games, spending time with his family, and always putting others before himself. His legacy is one of selfless love, quiet resilience, and endless generosity.
He will be remembered not only for what he did but for who he was: a man who loved fully, gave freely, and lived humbly.
