James Raymer “Ray” Lira, age 94, passed away July 24, 2014. Ray was born July 30, 1919 in Ojo, Colorado to the late Barney and Mona (England) Lira. He worked for Buckley Brothers for 43 years before his retirement. Ray was a kind and generous man, always putting the happiness of others before himself. He is survived by his 4 daughters: Nancy (Lonnie) Kush, Pat Storm, Carol (Cary) Crane and Barb (Glen) Derick & numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Ray was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Alice “Butch” Lira, and his siblings. Visitation will be Friday, August 1, 2014 from 5-7pm and the funeral service will be Saturday, August 2, 2014 at 12:00 pm both at Olinger Crown Hill Mortuary.
