

Janice Marie Tackett was born on November 16th, 1938, to parents Harold and Gertrude Tackett. The family's farm in rural Tabor, Iowa, was home to Janice; her two brothers, Terry, Bill, and her sister, Wava. At Tabor High School, Janice was valedictorian for her senior class, during school she enjoyed cheerleading and participating in Future Farmers of America club.
In 1957, she married Vernon Wayne Rubenking. They gave birth to three children: Glenda Kay Rubenking, Kevin Wayne Rubenking, and Keela Marie Rubenking. The family settled in the Denver area, and Janice took up work at Safeway, where she continued to work until retirement.
After being widowed in 1986, Janice found love again in Jack Chase; they married in 1987 and traveled the Western United States in their RV. In 2002, Janice moved to Arizona and eventually settled in San Tan Valley with her daughter, Keela, in 2020.Janice was a creative woman who loved sharing her joy with her family - often through baking, crocheting, sewing, and scrapbooking projects and games.
Janice is survived by her siblings, Bill Tackett (Judy) and Wava Furlong (Jim); her daughter Keela Krafcigs; as well as 7 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren: Tarrance Dupuis, Tasha Patterson, Brian Rubenking, Amanda Rubenking, Tayla White, Lacey Krafcigs Morgan, Kori Krafcigs. Travis Dupuis, MadiLynn Dupuis, Leland Dupuis, Kylah White, Gavin Rubenking, Adeylina Morgan, Charlotte White, George Patterson IV, Jack Rubenking, Miguel Morgan Jr., Rosco Rubenking and Winnie Krafcigs.
Within this beautiful family, Janice was blessed to have her extended family whom she loved like her own Diana Rubenking, George Patterson, Elizabeth Rubenking, Samuel White and Miguel Morgan.
Janice was strong, independent, and loving; she will be remembered for her devotion to her family her kids, grandkids, and great-grandbabies.
