Jay Roy Peters

Jay Roy Peters passed away on November 23, 2020 at the age of 86. He was born on July 31, 1934 in Elizabeth, Colorado to William Peters and Margaret Foreman Peters. He was the fourth of six children: Tom, Betty, Dorothy, Jay, Ruth and JB. On May 27, 1955 he married Patricia Brown. Together they raised two children, Colleen (Steve) Duell and John Peters.

Jay grew up as a farmer in Douglas County, Colorado, a sheet metal worker and worked for the Federal Government as well as a handyman. He served in the United States Army.

Immediate family preceding him in death are his brother, Tom; sisters, Betty and Dorothy. Jay is survived by his wife, Patricia; sister, Ruth; brother, JB; and four grandsons: Aaron Duell, Adam Duell, Matthew Peters and Michael Peters.

A private committal service will be held at Ft Logan National Cemetery.
