John was like another father to me (I called him Popsicle - which he got a kick out of).  He and I became very close over the last 6 years because we spent so much time together.  I genuinely loved him and he me.  I enjoyed all of his stories and his sense of humor.  I am proud that he referred to me as his "angel."  I will always remember him and will hold our bond in a tender spot of my heart.

My Dad has gone to his home in heaven, he is no longer with us.  
But I know that I am not alone. I know that he is with the lord and watching over me.

I remember all the wonderful times together (the vacations)and the conversations we had later in his life.  I remember those times, and those conversations and they bring me comfort and ease my sorrow.  
When I am quiet and still, I can feel Dad saying "there will always be a home for you here, so let your heart rest easy and never ever fear, you will see me, your mother and Pam again."  He is comforting me....

My sister Julie keeps reminding to write in the guest book, I guess the reason I have taken so long is everytime I think of what I want to say memories keep rushing in and I break down.  I did'nt realize how hard it would be to lose Dad because to me he was always there.  I really miss him. he instilled in all of us so many good qualities, honesty, hard work, sense of humor, too many to mention.  I remember the good times, our wonderful fun family trips that Dad and Mom made so special.  The times he visited me and my kids in Alaska, one time we went to Healy, he got to see over 20 grizzly bears at the Healy dump, he said don't you think we ought to leave those bears could tear apart this car, but only 10 miles down the road he jumped out and hopped on a wild horse and rode it down the road, he was only 72, he amazed and scared me at the same time.  He would show my boys how to do one arm push-ups and he was in his seventies, they thought he was awesome.  There are so many memories.  I love you Dad and I know you loved me from the time I was born.  Rest with the Lord and one day we will be together again.... Karen....

I have many fond & endearing memories of John & I am saddened to know he is no longer here in the physical sense...Yet I celebrate his spirit which I know lives on in the hearts of family & friends.
The things I remember best are family & family gatherings...how important it was for him to have & share times with his family. He could be a rebel  at times & you wondered?? Yet, he was a man of integrity & cared a lot about his kids & others. l remember drives...he loved to take a drive...to just be ...& reminisce...he talked  about his time as a truck driver & how proud he was of his 1-million mile award. 
My memories include Bronco games, Rockies games ( I will always remember going to the opening day Rockies game on his birthday), I remember drives to  Grand Lake & seeing his property  & climbing the rock...I too remember  him diving into the icy, cold waters at the age of 75...leaving all us younger people in worry & wondering, "Have you lost your mind?" 
I remember poker nights & trips to Blackhawk...I remember the 4 of a kind...I remember the holidays..mostly Christmas & his traditional gift of a box of candy & $20.00 bill.
I remember the saddness & how lost you were after Esther died...& how your family became even more important to you.  I remember the family gathering up at the Fort...all your kids were there (except for Pam) which I know left a hole in your soul...I still remember you sitting at the head of the table & wearing that silly Buffalo hat...how proud you felt being there with your kids.
I have so many, many memories of John R. Moore---when I look back on the time spent with you & family...I have to say it was time well spent & my heart smiles!
Thank you John...I will always remember you...you were a part of my life... for half of my life...you were like a dad to me...farewell my friend!

Ralph is Julie's (my sister-in-law) father and the first time I met him was on vacation with the family to Grand Lake Colorado many years ago. It was during June or July and really cold and I remember we were standing there at the edge of the pier and all of a sudden Ralph is jumping in the cold frigid waters and swimming. We were surprised that he not only braved the cold water but very much surprised at the distant he swam and at that moment I knew then that this was a man with character and strength a man worth knowing. I am so glad that God gave me the opportunity to meet him. I know to some he's a father, grandfather, husband, brother, and uncle but to me he will always be considered my friend a friend that once braved the cold frigid waters of Grand Lake Colorado. Thanks for the memories John. You will be missed by many.

My most recent memory of John is my visit to Denver last October. Linda showed me "the handshake" so I could impress John. He seemed quite pleased that I remembered it after all those years:-) It was a treat to see him in good spirits and in good care.

Well where to start he made every a fun adventure. But what I would have to say is thank you to him and all his family for taking jess and I in as family.  From the second we met him, he would not have us calling him john, its grandpa he said and so he was from that day on and always will be.  I wish I could be there, please know I am in sprit and will carry his love with me forever and remember all our fun summers

In my 37yrs. of knowing Ralph, he has always been a respectful, generous, funny, and enjoyable human being.  I realize there was another side, just as most of us have, but that side of Ralph I never saw.  I thank you Ralph for the good times we did have and I will always treasure them.  I will miss you and your unique way of telling a story.

Dad, I will always remember you, all the great trips all the values you instilled in us.  Give mom and Pam a hug for me and tell them I will see them all when I get there.  You had a long blessed life and I am so glad you are now with the Lord Love you forever and always. Your youngest daughter Julie ( Jimmy and Ellie send there love)

My favorite memory of John is how he wanted to make sure everyone was having a good time. When I was younger he took me to the river to go rafting and hiking. He would feel the silence with many of his stories. I will always remember the movie he took me to: Adventure In Babysitting! I had many fun times playing at his house and his dog Socks. When I grew up and came back to Denver to visit he too would relive these same memories I have kept all these years later. And always took interest in my children. He lived a great long life with a wonderful family and is now smiling down watching over us making sure we life a long happy life.

We have some fond memories of our cousin, Ralph.  Our dad, Clarence Lusk, was Ralph's uncle. Dad was fortunate to visit Ralph and Ester once along with our mother, Pauline, and sister, Juanita McBrayer and her husband, Lawrence.  This visit to their home was a highlite of the entire trip.  My husband, myself, and son, Leonard and Derek Reece along with Juanita visited Ralph a few year back.  He took us to Red Rock Outdoor Theatre.  He had a great sense of humor just like our dad. We also remember several visit that Ralph made to Georgia.  We are sorry to hear of his passing, and just know we all are thinking of you during this time.
